ICC announce schedule for Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup in 2023

The International Cricket Council (ICC) have released the schedule for the first-ever Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup due next year. The inaugural event will be held in South Africa between January 14 and 29, 2023.

A total of 16 nations will participate in the 15-day competition and feature 41 matches taking place across four stadiums in Benoni and Potchefstroom, respectively.

The 11 full ICC member sides, along with the five associate teams — India, South Africa, England, Pakistan, Australia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Scotland, Zimbabwe, New Zealand, West Indies, USA, Rwanda, Indonesia, and UAE — will be divided into four Groups.

The Super Six stage will commence on January 20, followed by the semi-finals and final being played on January 27 and 29, respectively.

Groups are as follows

Group A - Australia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, USA. 

 Group B - England, Pakistan, Zimbabwe, Rwanda. 

Group C - Ireland, Indonesia, New Zealand, West Indies.

 Group D - India, South Africa, UAE, Scotland.

India U19 schedule

Indian U19 open their tournament by taking on hosts South Africa on January 14. The second match will be against UAE on January 16, followed by Scotland on January 18. 

Team India will play all their games in Benoni.

Warm-up matches for the teams will occur in Johannesburg and Tshwane between January 9 and 11.
