The Pakistan National T20 Cup 2022 resumed on September 7 with two matches in Rawalpindi. Here is look at the highlights from both fixtures.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa vs Balochistan

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa flayed the Balochistan attack for the entirety of their 20-overs, charting 201 runs on the board. Opener Sahibzada Farhan scored a 33-ball 48 while number three batter Kamran Ghulam cracked a half-century.

Despite crucial top-order contributions, it was Mohammad Sarwar who delivered the turbo-charging innings in the death overs with his six-laden 11-ball 38*.

The Balochistan response folded up for just 174 inside 19 overs, with Khyber’s young pacer Mohammad Imran claiming four wickets in his spell.

Sindh vs Southern Punjab

Sindh registered their third win of the season by overcoming Southern Punjab’s total with four balls to spare. Saim Ayub and Omair Bin Yusuf registered identical half-centuries, with the latter of the two even remaining unbeaten in the run-chase.

Earlier, the Southern Punjab had piled up 175-6 off their 20 overs, with Hassan Khan contributing 48 of them. Sindh’s Abrar Ahmed claimed three wickets in his spell and also kept the run-flow in check.
