In the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match between Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand, RCB's new recruit Bhuvneshwar Kumar has taken a hat-trick. Bhuvi turned back the clock and bowled a magical spell to leave Jharkhand crippled. 

In a low-scoring thriller, Bhuvi registered the figures of 3/6 in his quota of four overs, which features a three-wicket maiden. Talking about the hat-trick,  on the first ball of the 17th over,  Kumar got rid of GT's new buy Robin Minz. On the subsequent delivery, he sent Bal Krishna packing for a golden duck. 

Bhuvi completed his hat-trick in style as he cleaned up Vivek Tiwari and rattled the stumps with a brilliant delivery.  Kumar's spell helped UP beat Jharkhand by 10 runs. 

UP vs Jharkhand: Match Summary

In the recently concluded match, UP, batting first, put just 160 runs on the board. Rinku Singh was the star batter as he smashed 45 (28) to guide his side to a respectable total on the board. In reply, Jharkhand lost early wickets, but Anukul Roy nearly took the match out of UP's hands. 

Notably, Anukul smashed 91 (44), which featured eight fours and seven sixes. However, it was Kumar's magic that helped UP register their fifth win of the tournament. 

Great Signs For RCB

Bhuvi was not having a great year as he was released by SRH and was also not considered for international selection. However, RCB showed faith in him and bought the right-arm seamer for a whopping 10.75 crores. 

It is a homecoming for Kumar and his current form is a sign of great relief for RCB and its supporters. Talking about the ongoing SMAT season, Bhuvi has taken nine wickets in seven innings.
