In the ongoing match between Gujarat and Karnataka at the Holkar Stadium in Indore, Gujarat skipper Axar Patel hogged the internet for his blistering fifty. Notably, Karnataka won the toss and asked Gujarat to bat. The decision turned in Gujarat's favour as they put 251/5 on the board.
Gujarat, batting first, got off to a blistering start as opener Aarya Desai scored a fifty-plus score. Meanwhile, Patel, who came to bat when Gujarat were 150/2. He went all guns blazing from the first ball and scored an unbeaten 56 (20), which featured six sixes and just two fours.

Patel Auditions For DC's Vacant Captain Position
Patel is doing a great job with Gujarat in the ongoing SMAT edition, as the team from the west are placed third on the table with five wins in six matches. Thus, Patel's great batting while leading the side is also an audition for the vacant captain's position at Delhi Capitals.
