On Friday, Peshawar Zalmi opened their account in the PSL 2024 points table with a thrilling five-run win over Multan Sultans. 

Batting first, the Zalmi posted a respectable 179-run total on the board, riding on the collective brilliance of their batters. Chasing the steep target, the Sultans fell short by just five runs, as Naveen-ul-Haq held his nerves to secure a narrow win for his side. 

Meanwhile, besides the contest between bat and ball, the incident that grabbed the limelight of fans was the ugly spat between ace Pakistani batter Babar Azam and the Multan crowd. 

In a video doing rounds on social media, the crowd can be seen sledging Babar with 'Zimbabar' chants. 

Despite being a consistent performer against top sides, Babar has been repeatedly trolled for his astounding success against Zimbabwe. He averages 114.75 versus the African nation in ODIs, a figure that is significantly higher than his career average. 

Upon being trolled, Babar can be seen acting furiously, expressing his anger at the nasty crowd. 

The video was surfaced by a renowned Sri Lankan journalist on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), although some fans claim it to be edited. 

Babar has had a fabulous PSL season with the bat, amassing 171 runs at an average of 57 and a strike rate of 143.69. Up next, he will be seen in action when the Zalmi face Lahore Qalandars in the 12th group-stage game on Sunday.
