PSL 2024 | Babar Azam Becomes Fastest Batter To Score 10000 T20 Runs

In a remarkable achievement, ace Pakistani batter Babar Azam has become the latest entrant to the illustrious 10000-run club in T20 cricket. 

Playing for Peshawar Zalmi, Babar attained the milestone during the ongoing PSL 2024 encounter against Karachi Kings. He became only the second Pakistani batter to achieve the feat, with Shoaib Malik being the other player on the list.

Furthermore, Babar also became the first-ever batter to slam 3000 runs in T20 cricket. He is followed by Fakhar Zaman on the list of highest run-getters in the tournament’s history. 

The former Pakistan captain got a fantastic start to the tournament, amassing a glorious fifty against Quetta Gladiators. In the ongoing match, he is fighting for his side despite losing his partners at the other end. 

After being invited to bat, the Zalmi lost the valuable wicket of Saim Ayub, who was cleaned up by veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik. The cheap dismissals of Mohammad Haris and Tom Kohler-Cadmore have pushed them down on the mat, as they are reeling at 58 for three in 7.3 overs as of writing.
