Former Pakistan cricket captain, Babar Azam, touched hearts as he paid a surprise visit to young fan Imad Khan in the hospital. The heartening encounter, which took place last year, has recently re-emerged on social media, capturing the attention of cricket fans worldwide.

During his visit, Azam not only spent time with Imad but also arranged a special video call with fellow cricketers Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi. 

Imad, a fervent supporter of the Pakistan team, expressed his joy at meeting his cricketing idols and shared his admiration for players like Rizwan, Shadab Khan, and Shaheen Afridi and revealed that he prays for their success in every match.

Reflecting on past matches, Imad recalled moments of disappointment, such as Pakistan's loss to Matthew Wade's remarkable performance in the 2021 T20 World Cup semi-final. Despite facing teasing when Azam stepped up to bat, Imad expressed immense happiness at meeting his cricketing heroes.

In a heartening display of compassion, Azam presented Imad with his cricket cap as a token of appreciation, further strengthening the bond between the star cricketer and his devoted fan. 

Azam, who is currently leading the Peshawar Zalmi franchise in the Pakistan Super League recently made headlines in the cricketing world by becoming the fastest batter to reach 10,000 runs during a match between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi in the ongoing Pakistan Super League 2024 season.
