[Watch] Babar Azam Completes Scintillating Fifty With A Huge Six vs Karachi Kings

Pakistan's experienced batter Babar Azam showcased his batting prowess for the umpteenth time, as he completed his glorious half-century with a huge six in the ongoing PSL 2024 clash against Karachi Kings. 

The incident occurred in the eleventh over of Peshawar's innings when Karachi Kings skipper Shan Masood brought Tabraiz Shamsi into the attack. Babar, who completed 10000 T20 runs during the game, took on the South African bowler straight away, smashing him for a massive six over the deep mid wicket. 

The maximum helped Babar slam his second fifty of the current PSL season. Earlier, he started his PSL 2024 journey with a bang, amassing 68 runs against Quetta Gladiators.

After being invited to bat first on a placid surface, Peshawar Zalmi got off to a disastrous start, losing Saim Ayub off Shoaib Malik's bowling in the very first over. Dynamic batters Mohammad Haris and Tom Kohler-Cadmore also had forgettable outings, managing six and two runs, respectively. 

However, a fighting fourth-wicket stand between Babar and Rovman Powell helped them resurrect the innings before Mohammad Nawaz dismissed the latter in the 13th over. 

As of writing, the Zalmi are 109 for four with Babar and Asif Ali batting on 59* and 1*, respectively.
