The first T20I between England and Australia turned out to be a game where bowlers showed the might, and after bundling out Australia for 179, England ended up getting cleaned up for 151 and lost the game by 28 runs.

However, they could have lost by more, but their bowlers bowled well at the death with flurry of wickets to derial Australia's charge. It included team hat-trick as well with Archer picking two and Saqib Mahmood getting one wicket in the next over. Jofra Archer first cleaned up Sean Abbott with a low full toss on the fifth delivery of the 18th over. Abbott went across to his right to scoop it away, but missed it completely.

The next ball was a perfect yorker on the off-stump line and Xavier Barlett was sent back for a golden duck. The came Saqib Mahmood and he bowled an absolutely stunning yorker, inswinging into middle and leg and Cameron Green was cleaned up in style.

It was a crucial phase of the game and it gave England a good chance to chase down the total in the second half as things looked quite bleak at the start with Travis Head coming out all guns blazing.

England though made a mess of it as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals with all Australian bowlers making it difficult for the home side with disciplined stuff.
