[Watch] Jason Holder Gets Thrashed Like A Spinner By Justin Greaves In CPL 2024

In the 13th match of the CPL 2024 at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados, the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons are playing against the in-form Barbados Royals. Royals captain, Rovman Powell won the toss and opted to field.

Falcons Openers Set the Tone With A Crucial Partnership

The Falcons openers Brandon King and Justin Greaves rose to the occasion and delivered a solid partnership that set the tone for the Falcons’ innings.

The duo made full use of the powerplay and formed a crucial 55-run partnership in just 37 balls. Justin Greaves looked in sublime form and executed shots with precision and timing. While Brandon King anchored the innings with controlled aggression, Justin Greaves stole the show with a few flamboyant strokes that put the Royals' bowlers under pressure.

Justin Greaves Unleashed A Breathtaking Six

In the 5th over of the first innings, Greaves unleashed a breathtaking six against Jason Holder. It was a fuller-length delivery, that angled into the leg stump, seemingly a good ball to tie Greaves down.

But with remarkable skill, Greaves made room on the leg side, swung through the line, and thumped the ball high and far over long-on for a massive six. This crucial powerplay partnership laid a strong foundation for the Falcons

Later on, South African left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj provided the much-needed breakthrough for the Royals. Making his debut for the Royals, Maharaj could not have asked for a more perfect entry into the CPL.

Maharaj made an immediate impact, breaking the crucial partnership between openers Brandon King and Justin Greaves, who had laid a solid foundation for the Falcons.

Royals And Falcons Looking To Solidify Their Spot In The Top 4

Barbados Royals, the table-toppers, are in prime form after winning their first two matches and are looking to extend their unbeaten streak.

On the other hand, the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons, after a rough start to their campaign, have turned their fortunes around. With two consecutive wins under their belt, they entered this game brimming with confidence and determination.

At the time of writing, the Falcons have just lost one wicket at 110 runs in 14 overs. Justin Greaves and Sam Billings are present at the crease.
