India's legendary batter Virat Kohli showed contrasting emotions during the Men in Blue's tied ODI fixture against Sri Lanka at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. 

On Friday, India had a torrid start to the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, as they allowed the hosts to bounce back and tie the game. 

Chasing 231, India were in a winning position, needing only one run to win, with Shivam Dube batting alongside Mohammed Siraj. 

However, Sri Lankan skipper Charith Asalanka dismissed Dube and Arshdeep Singh in quick succession to save his team from a heartbreaking defeat.

After Sri Lanka posted a respectable 230-run total, the Indian batters had a tough time in the middle. Despite getting starts, India's most batters failed to convert them into big scores, leaving the visitors reeling at 197 for seven. 

However, explosive all-rounder Shivam Dube showed nerves of steel, powering India to the brink of a memorable victory. 

As Dube's boundary brought the equation down to one run off 15 deliveries, Kohli, seated adjacent to head coach Gautam Gambhir, expressed his jubilation. 

Meanwhile, Asalanka bowled two game-changing balls that went with the angle to trap Dube and Arshdeep Singh plumb in front of the stumps. 

When India needed a single, Arshdeep was dismissed while trying for a glory shot through the leg side. 

His brain fade moment earned the speedster massive backlash from social media while frustrating Kohli in the Indian dressing room. 

After the high-voltage encounter ended in a tie, both teams will play each other in the penultimate game of the series on August 4 at the same venue.
