The Northern Superchargers and the Oval Invincibles are locking horns in the 12th match of The Hundred 2024. This game is being played at the Kennington Oval in London.

The Oval Invincibles won the toss in the match and put the Northern Superchargers to bat. The Superchargers did not have a great start to their innings as they lost Graham Clark and Matthew Short early. The onus was now on their batters in form, Nicholas Pooran and Harry Brook to stabilise the innings and then take it towards a formidable total. 

Nicholas Pooran addressed the need of the hour and played a brilliant hand of 65 unbeaten runs from 41 deliveries. However, the skipper of the Superchargers failed to fire. It was struggle for the English batter during his time in the middle. All he could manage was 6 runs off 10 balls. 


Harry Brook fails to deliver

On the first delivery of the 10th set, Harry Brook decided to step up the scoring rate. Adam Zampa was handling the bowling responsibilities in this set. He bowled a full toss at the off stump. Brook danced down the track and tried loft the ball over the long-on fence. However, he did not get the right connection and was caught be Jordan Cox in the deep. 

This wicket spelt trouble for the Supechargers at that stage. However, Nicholas Pooran kept going form one end and ensured that the team posted a respectable total of 145 runs in their 100 balls.
