The Northern Superchargers are facing the Oval Invincibles in the 12th match of The Hundred 2024. This game is being played at the Kenning Oval in London.

The Oval Invincibles won the toss and opted to field first. The Northern Superchargers did not have a great start to their innings as they lost Graham Clark and Matthew Short pretty early.  At this stage they needed someone to bat through the innings and take the score to a respectable one. Nicholas Pooran decided to stand up for his team.

The West Indian keeper batter walked out to bat at the fall of the first wicket and remained unbeaten till the end of the innings. Pooran scored a brilliant 65* off 41 deliveries and ensured that the Superchargers posted 145 runs on the board at the end of their 100 balls.

Pooran's innings was decorated with four boundaries and four monstrous sixes. One of these maximums came against Adam Zampa in the 15th set. On the last delivery of this set, Zampa tossed it up around the off stump line. Nicholas Pooran spotted the length early and got down on one knee to heave the ball over long-on for a huge maximum. The distance of the hit was a whopping 104 metres.

However, this was not the end of the drama. A spectator in the stands stood up and grabbed the catch adding to the entertainment. The composure and the reflex displayed by the man in the crowd was nothing short of spectacular.
