In a significant development, Cricket West Indies has named a strong 15-member squad for the upcoming Test series against South Africa. West Indies will face South Africa in a two-match Test series this month. The first Test is scheduled at Queen's Park in Trinidad, while the decider will be played at the National Stadium in Guyana.

Veteran pacer Kemar Roach makes his comeback for the two-match home series after missing the recently held England Tests

Roach has been incredible in home conditions and is expected to play a key role for the Men in Maroon.

Meanwhile, West Indies' Test vice-captain Alzarri Joseph won't participate in the South Africa Tests.

According to head coach Andre Coley, Joseph has been rested for the series due to workload management.

"We have decided to rest our vice-captain Alzarri Joseph for this series. Alzarri has had a considerable workload recently, and this break will allow him to recuperate and return to peak performance," Coley stated.

In Joseph's absence, keeper-batter Joshua Da Silva will be Kraigg Brathwaite's deputy. Among others, Jason Holder, Shamar Joseph, Alick Athanaze, Kavem Hodge, Jayden Seales and Gudakesh Motie are the familiar faces, while the eyes will also be on Justin Greaves, Mikyle Louis, Keacy Carty and Jomel Warrican.
