The first ODI between India and Sri Lanka will down in history as one of the best fifty-over games as Sri Lanka pulled off a miraculous comeback to tie the opening game.

The drama of the highest sort unfolded in the final moments of the game, as India required one run to win with two wickets in hand, but Sri Lanka's Charith Asalanka took two wickets in two balls to tie the game.

Notably, Asalanka came to bowl the 48th over of the match, when India required five to win off 18 balls. Shivam Dube broke Sri Lankan fans' hearts after he scored a four.

However, Asalanka trapped Dube in front of the wicket and the umpire raised his finger for LBW. While India required one run to win, Arshdeep Singh tried to dispatch one for a big shot but failed miserably and got out LBW.

The crowd erupted in joy as they witnessed one of the rare moments in cricket history. Unfortunately, for the fans, there was no super-over, and the match was tied.
