While the Royal Challengers Bangalore men’s team could not lift the IPL trophy in 16 years, their female counterparts achieved it in just two seasons.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore Women defeated the Delhi Capitals Women by eight wickets in the final of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 to claim their maiden WPL trophy

The Royal Challengers Bangalore Women didn't have the best beginning, with Shafali Verma from Delhi Capitals coming out strong and giving their bowlers a tough time.

However, after dismissing her, RCB triggered a collapse, bowling out the Delhi Capitals for just 113 runs. Shafali ended up as highest run scorer with 44 runs from 27 balls.

As the second innings was about to start and captain Smriti Mandhana was gearing up to take the field, something truly heartwarming happened. Smriti caught sight of the WPL trophy, and that moment is now blowing up on social media.
