India's star batter Virat Kohli congratulated RCB for winning the Women’s Premier League 2024 title at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Sunday. Smriti Mandhana and Co. gave their fans endless dozes of joy after beating Delhi Capitals in the summit clash of WPL 2024 and lifting the trophy.

With that win, the Red Army became the second team to lift the WPL title. The fans and the team players erupted with joy after Richa Ghosh hit the winning runs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Social media has been buzzing with congratulatory messages for the RCB team. Meanwhile, the legendary batsman of the RCB franchise, Virat Kohli, also congratulated the team via video call.

A picture has been surfacing on social media where Kohli could be seen expressing his raw emotions to RCB captain Smriti Mandhana.

Earlier, Delhi Capitals skipper, Meg Lanning won the toss and elected to bat first. It seemed to be a great decision till the time both the openers were there in the middle. Shafali Verma smacked the ball to all parts of the ground as Lanning played as a second fiddle to her in the powerplay.

The duo raced away to 64 runs in just seven overs. However, the arrival of Molineux led to Delhi’s downfall. The spinner picked up three wickets in just four balls, leaving the Delhi Capitals’ fans shell-shocked.

Asha Sobhana (2 for 14) and Shreyanka Patil (3 for 20) then spun a web around them as Delhi Capitals were eventually bowled out for just 113 runs. In reply, RCB chased down the total in 19.3 overs.

Smriti Mandhana (31) and Sophie Devine (32) made a brisk start, while the likes of Ellyse Perry (35 off 37) and Richa Ghosh (17 off 14) guided the team home with unbeaten knocks.
