Another final is going against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). On Sunday, the Smriti Mandhana-led side is playing their first Women's Premier League (WPL) Final, and they have put under enormous pressure by Delhi Capitals (DC).

After winning the toss in Delhi, the opening of Another final is going against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Shafali Verma and Meg Lanning have decided to tonk the RCB bowlers - especially the visiting pace bowler, Renuka Singh. 

The speedster, who gave away 9 runs off the first over of the final, was brought back by her captain from the other end - to which Verma-Lanning responded positively.


DC openers blast against RCB in powerplay

The Indian dasher took the charge first by smashing a maximum over the bowler's head, before bagging two braces off the next two balls. On the fourth delivery, Verma rotated the strike, resulting in the DC skipper freeing her arms. 

Lanning first threw the kitchen sink at Singh by going over mid-off for a boundary, and then dabbed a similar-looking delivery towards third-man for a four. As a result, DC bagged 19 runs off the fourth over of the match.

The DC openers didn't take the cautious approach after blasting against Singh, as they kept the foot on the peddle ending the powerplay at 61/0 - the joint-highest in the history of the league.

At the time of publishing, Shafali has snapped 42 runs off 21 balls; whereas her captain is playing the second fiddle with a 15-ball 17.
