A series that saw the rejuvenation of Kuldeep Yadav, the Test cricketer, where the 29-year-old snarled 19 wickets at a strike rate of 36.00 and scored 97 crucial runs down the order was quite rememberable for the tweaker.

After losing the first match to England at Hyderabad, Team India pulled off a historic series victory to win the series by a margin of 4-1. One of the few changes that Rohit Sharma & co. did after the embarrassing defeat in the first game was to introduce Kuldeep Yadav.

The wrist-spinner, who replaced an injured Ravindra Jadeja in Vizag, became a mainstay as Axar Patel was asked to sit out from the Rajkot Test. And Kuldeep didn't stamp just his prowess with bat and ball but emerged as India's most improved fielder.

To appreciate Kuldeep's effort as a fielder, Team India's fielding coach brought back the fielding medal ritual as the medal was handed by BCCI's secretary Jay Shah after the Dharamsala win.

The spinner bagged a medal for his relentless efforts in running from fine leg to fine leg during the five-match Test series against England. Additionally, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill shared the award for taking the most catches during the tour.

Kuldeep Yadav, who turned the tied in the fifth Test with his five-wicket haul in the first innings, got the Player of the Match award. Meanwhile, young Yashasvi Jaiswal won the Player of the Series prize for breaking the 700-run mark in the series.
