After the assault run by Sophie Molineux, Shreyanka Patil has delivered a punch for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Women's Premier League (WPL 2024) Final against Delhi Capitals (DC) on Sunday.
Young Shreyanka got rid of DC's skipper Meg Lanning as Delhi have lost four wickets to lose the plot after the openers went gung-ho against RCB's seamers.
As the pressure was built by the Australian all-rounder with her three-wicket over, Delhi got into a shell, and Shreyanka took full advantage of it.

The Indian tweaker pitched a shorter ball outside the off-stump, on which the veteran batter went on the back-foot but the ball spun into her as Lanning got caught on the crease trying to work to leg-side. The DC spinner took the DRS in desperation, but it went against her.
Interestingly, the young spinner removed the former Australian skipper in the reverse league fixture of the two sides.

After Lanning's wicket, RCB did not continue as Sobhana Asha had a double-wicket over and Minnu Mani kneeled down against Shreyanka. At the time of publishing, DC are in deep waters - standing at 100/7 after 16 overs - losing seven wickets in the middle phase of their innings.
