Shafali Verma and her blistering knocks at the top of the order has been a common phenomenon in WPL 2024 and that continued in the final as well as she blasted 44 off just 27 balls. She hit the first six of the final against Molineux and looked like she will take the game away from RCB, but Molineux came back in style and outfoxed Shafali first which was followed by back-to-back wickets of Rodrigues and Alice Capsey in the same over.

The wicket of Shafali Verma came on the first delivery of the 8th over. It was a tossed up delivery and sliding into the right-hander. Shafali Verma went for the slog even though she was cramped for room. She did hit it decently but it was the longer side of the ground and Georgia Wareham at deep mid-wicket took a fine catch.

The wicket of Shafali Verma triggered a mini-collapse and brought RCB back in the game as DC were reduced to 74-4 from 64-0 in no time. DC still have experience in their ranks and it would be interesting to see how things unfold as this final marches on.
