Bangladesh fast bowler Shoriful Islam bowled like a dream in the first One-Day International (ODI) against Sri Lanka at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram on Wednesday.
Islam returned figures of 3/51, including, the prized wicket of the dangerous-looking Janith Liyanage who was sent packing for 67 runs off 69 deliveries.
The incident took place in the 47th over of the match when Islam bowled a short of a length delivery and Liyanage went down the track to top edge it behind to Mushfiqur Rahim.
The left-arm fast bowler topped it up with a power-packed celebration as he punched the air after dismissing the key batter. Meanwhile, Rahim looked calm and composed as he caught the ball and juggled it before returning it back to the bowler.

It was the first wicket for Islam as he later returned to clean Sri Lanka's tail. He dismissed Pramod Madushan for his second scalp in the 49th over and Dilshan Madushanka for a three ball duck in the penultimate delivery of the same over.
As a result, Sri Lanka were bundled out for 255 runs after opting to bat with Liyanage the top-scorer for his side.
