The Indian Premier League (IPL) has caught the imagination of fans with many amusing moments. One such moment took place during the IPL 2018 when Royal Challengers Bangalore's Virat Kohli and the erstwhile Delhi Darevils' Rishabh Pant left fan guessing with their friendly banter. 

The incident took place in the beginning of the seventh over when Kohli seemed to have lost his concentration while taking guard and engaged in a friendly banter with Rishabh Pant.

After losing his concentration, Kohli stopped and stared at Pant as the wicketkeeper batter laughed back at him and then showed his gloves. There was a bit of chit-chat between the Delhi duo, as suggested by the commentators, before Kohli regained his concentration and the play went on.

At the point of the incident, Kohli was batting on 40 off 16 deliveries. As the friendly banter concluded, Kohli went on with his innings to reach his 34th IPL half-century. In the process, he surpassed his Indian teammate Suresh Raina to become the highest run-score in the lucrative tournament with 4884 runs in 160 appearances. 

Incidentally, Kohli's knock concluded with 70 runs off 40-deliveries at the erstwhile Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, guiding the visitors to a morale-boosting five-wicket victory to stay alive in the playoffs race.
