Leg spin sensation Wanindu Hasaranga became the 11th bowler to complete 100 wickets in T20I cricket. Afghan all-rounder Gulbadin Naib became his 100th wicket.

Hasaranga reached the miltestone in the second T20I of the ongoing three match T20I series between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan

Sri Lanka skipper Wanindu Hasaranga has been the biggest match-winner for his country in the white ball format for the last few years. He has been the brand ambassador of Sri Lankan cricket. He has claimed 101 wickets in 63 matches at a bowling average of 15.37. He bowls with an impressive economy rate of 6.79.

The 26-year-old became the second bowler from Sri Lanka to reach 100 T20I wickets after Sri Lankan legend Lasith Malinga. A nightmare for batters, Malinga is considered the best bowler ever to play the shortest format of the game. Lasith picked up 107 wickets in 84 matches. Hasaranga is not too far away from becoming the leading wicket-taker for Sri Lanka in the history of T20I cricket.

Hasaranga is the second fastest to reach the milestone. He follows his fellow leg-spinner, Rashid Khan, on the list.
