Pakistan's premier batter, Babar Azam, sustained his poor run as Shakib Al Hasan outfoxed him for a low score in the ongoing second Test against Bangladesh at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Coming at four, Babar managed only 31 runs before Shakib trapped him plumb in front of the stumps.

The incident occurred during the 54th over of Pakistan's first innings when Babar was trying to form a consolidating stand with keeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan after Saud Shakeel's dismissal

Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto's decision to bring Shakib paid rich dividends for the visitors, as the veteran all-rounder got Babar Azam's prized scalp.

After conceding a single off his first delivery, Shakib bowled an arm ball, which came back into Babar after pitching around the off stump.

Shakib was able to deceive Babar with his trajectory as the batter became confused regarding his footwork. He hung back to a delivery that wasn't really short. As a result, he was caught in the crease.

The ball struck him on his pads and the umpire declared him out as soon as the Bangladesh players appealed for a leg before.

After being given out, Babar opted not to use the DRS and walked back to the dugout with disappointment written all over his face.

Pakistan in a spot of bother in 2nd Test vs Bangladesh

Babar's dismissal ensured Bangladesh claimed the driving seat in the second Test against Pakistan in Rawalpindi.

Now, the onus is on the last match's centurion, Mohammad Rizwan, and Agha Salman, to steady the ship for the hosts. As of writing, Pakistan were 192 for five, with Rizwan and Salman batting on 23* and 4*, respectively.
