Pat Cummins, the Australian Test captain has already started the mind-games with the Indian team ahead of the much-anticipated Border-Gavaskar series. Cummins admitted that while India have won the last two Test series Down Under, the Aussies prevailed in the WTC finals, last year.

India and Australia, the top two teams in Test cricket have had a fierce rivalry in the last decade. The two teams have constantly battled against one another, with India defeating the Aussies on numerous occasions, but when it mattered the most, the Cummins led Australian side defeated Rohit Sharma's men in the WTC finals in 2023.

Cummins hasn't forgotten about the humiliation from India

India, are the only Asian team to have defeated Australia in their own backyard, and achieved the feat, not once but twice (2018-19, 2020-21).

Cummins hasn't forgotten those defeats, and has fired shots at the Indian team, stating that "it is time to make amends" as the Aussie side are ready for the upcoming Indian challenge Down Under.

"In the last two series here in Australia we haven't been successful so it's been a long time, hopefully, time to make amends. We've played them (India) plenty of times where they've beaten us, but we've also had plenty of wins against them so we'll draw confidence from that," Cummins said.

The Test skipper also reflected on the World Test Championship (WTC) finals, which Australia won in a one-sided affair, and he hopes to repeat the same heroics when the two teams meet once again.

"The most recent Test match was obviously the World Test Championship (Final). In neutral conditions and we got up in that Test match so yeah, it's always fiercely competitive and in a way feels like it's fifty-fifty. I am 10 out of 10 excited for the Border Gavaskar Trophy," Pat Cummins added.

Australia will look to break India's juggernaut

The entire world is excited for the upcoming India Vs Australia series. The last time Australia defeated India in a Test series, was way back in 2014, and since then, the Asian side have been the dominant side and will look to continue the same domination in the 5-match series.

The first Test match kicks-off at Perth on November 22, while the second match takes place in much favourable Indian conditions at the Adelaide Oval. The third Test takes place in Brisbane, while MCG and SCG will host the final two Test matches.
