Bangladesh's premium pacer, Taskin Ahmed, made a significant impact on the match by successfully conquering Pakistan's batting line-up. His second wicket, the dismissal of Saud Shakeel, was a crucial breakthrough.

This was especially important after Shakeel's destructive century in the first Test had put Pakistan in a commanding position for a while. Saud Shakeel was forced to make his way back after scoring just 16 runs off 28 deliveries.

In the 47th over, Taskin bowled a back of a length outside off delivery. Shakeel, attempting to run it down to third man for a single, misjudged the bounce and the ball took the inside edge, deflecting onto the stumps.

Taskin's successful wicket-taking was a moment of joy for the entire Bangladesh team. However, it was a different story for Saud Shakeel, who played a shot that led to his dismissal. He looked visibly disappointed as he slowly walked back to the pavilion.

Pakistan crumble after a consolidating stand between Saim Ayub and Shan Masood

Early on in the innings, Taskin successfully picked up the first wicket of the game as he removed Abdullah Shafique for a six-ball duck. This was followed by a remarkable partnership between Shan Masood and Saim Ayub, who stitched up a tight partnership of 107 runs before Mehidy Hasan Miraz removed the two one after another.

As the game progressed, Taskin once again proved his mettle, and his success was further amplified when Shakib al Hasan joined him in the wicket column, claiming the prized scalp of Babar Azam.

At the time of writing, Pakistan is at 183-5 after 55 overs.
