The crowd at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi, on Saturday witnessed a historic moment, when South Delhi Superstarz' Priyansh Arya slammed 6 sixes in an over against North Delhi's Manan Bhardwaj.

You don't often see 6 sixes getting hit in any form of the game, so it is an historic achievement for Priyansh, who looked in ominous touch and showcased his brute power to torment the North Delhi Strikers bowler.

History created by Priyansh in DPL 2024

Priyansh had showed everyone the glimpses of his power-batting, but here he emulated Yuvraj Singh, and smacked 6 sixes in an over to dent the confidence of the opposition bowler.

In the 12th over of the match, Priyansh decided to switch gears as he targeted Bhardwaj, who looked nervous even before the start of the over.

The first delivery of the over was deposited over the long-off fence as Priyansh stepped down the track and took on the bowler with ease. The second big six was the trade-mark left-hander shot, as he sat on his knee and slapped it over the deep mid-wicket region.

The third six went over the long-on fence, as the southpaw again came down the track and hammered it over the wall. With three sixes in a row, the historic feat of 6 sixes was at a touching distance, as Priyansh.

The fourth delivery also went out of the park, and the bowler got the same treatment in the last two deliveries as Priyansh created history and became just the third Indian after Ravi Shastri and Yuvraj Singh to hit six sixes in an over.

Badoni, Priyansh complete their respective centuries

Priyansh looked at his explosive best as he reached his century in style. He was well supported by South Delhi’s skipper, Ayush Badoni, who too, played a blinder and reached his century in just 39 deliveries.

It rained sixes in Delhi as both the batters made a mockery of the opposition. Badoni, known for his guile, showed brute power and gave a timely reminder to his IPL franchise, LSG, to retain him ahead of the IPL 2025 auction.
