On the fourth day of the second Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, young Bangladeshi bowler Nahid Rana became the standout performer with a game-changing spell. The 21-year-old made an immediate impact and took crucial wickets that shifted the momentum of the match.

Nahid Rana Scalps Crucial Wicket Of Saud Shakeel

Nahid Rana's pivotal breakthrough came in the 21st over of Pakistan's second innings when he dismissed Saud Shakeel, who was expected to stabilise Pakistan's position.

He bowled around the wicket, delivered a back-of-a-length ball that pitched outside off stump and straightened just enough to catch Shakeel off guard. Saud Shakeel attempted a defensive shot and edged the ball to wicketkeeper Litton Das, who made no mistake behind the stumps.

Nahid Rana's Impressive Performance

Earlier in the day, Rana had also taken the wicket of Pakistan's Test skipper Shan Masood, who had scored 28 runs before falling to a well-directed delivery. He also scalped the important wicket of Babar Azam who managed to score just 11 runs.

Rana's quick strikes kept the pressure on Pakistan, whose lead now appears fragile as the match hangs in the balance. With both teams fighting hard to gain control, Nahid Rana's performance has added an unexpected twist to this closely contested Test.

Quick Recap To Day 3 Between Pakistan Vs Bangladesh

The highlight of Day 3 was Mehidy Hasan Miraz's outstanding five-wicket haul that gave Bangladesh a significant edge in their quest to secure their maiden Test series victory against Pakistan.

The Bangla Tigers found themselves in serious trouble early in their innings as left-arm pacer Mir Hamza and right-arm seamer Khurram Shahzad tore through the top order and reduced them to a precarious 26/6.

However, a resilient partnership between Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz turned the tide for the visitors.

Litton Das, in particular, played a superb knock, scoring 138 runs and anchored a vital 165-run partnership for the seventh wicket with Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who contributed 78 runs. This partnership lifted Bangladesh to a more respectable total of 262.

In response, Pakistan's batting lineup faltered under the pressure of Bangladesh's bowling attack. By stumps on Day 3, Pakistan found themselves struggling at 9/2, with both Abdullah Shafique and nightwatchman Khurram Shahzad back in the pavilion.
