Bangladesh's experienced batter, Litton Das, oozed class with the bat as he slammed a flamboyant century in the ongoing second Test against Pakistan. In response to Pakistan's first innings total of 274 runs, Bangladesh had a disastrous start to their innings, losing six wickets inside the first twelve overs. 

However, Litton emerged as their saviour with the bat, forming a sensational 165-run partnership with bowling all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz for the seventh wicket. The duo's clinical effort saved Bangladesh from embarrassment, helping them breach the 200-run mark in their first innings. 

While Mehidy became Khurram Shahzad's fifth victim for 78 runs, Litton held the fort for the Tigers, eventually bringing up his fourth hundred in Test cricket. He achieved the milestone during the 65th over of Bangladesh's second innings when Pakistan were desperately searching for a breakthrough.

After conceding two runs off his first four balls, wily leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed bowled a flatter delivery slightly outside the off stump. Although the ball was close to the off stump, Litton used the crease beautifully to play an elegant late cut. The shot was well-timed, as the ball went past the slip fielder for a boundary. 

After completing his hundred, Litton kissed the BCB badge on his helmet, showcasing his commitment to the nation. 

Bangladesh's remarkable fightback in 2nd Test vs Pakistan

Riding on the exceptional knocks from Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan, Bangladesh made a remarkable comeback in the second Test at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. As of writing, the visitors were 229 for eight, with Litton and Hasan Mahmud batting on 114* and 4*, respectively.
