Evin Lewis and Kyle Mayers Significant Contribution

Earlier in the match, the St Lucia Kings Faf du Plessis captain won the toss and invited the Patriots to bat first. St Kitts and Nevis Patriots did not have a good start to their innings and faced an early setback when they lost the crucial wicket of captain Andre Fletcher to an unfortunate runout in just the third ball of the match for a single.

But this wicket did not effect Evin Lewis and Kyle Mayers, the duo displayed extra-ordinary hitting and Lewis went on to complete his century in 54 balls.

His partner Kyle Mayers scored 92 runs and just fell short of 8 runs to complete his well-deserved century.

This partnership was not just vital for the team but also created history and recorded the highest partnership in CPL history. They surpassed the previous record of 162 runs held by Walton and Chris Gayle.

Kyle Mayers All-Round Performance

St Lucia Kings had to chase down a massive target of 201 runs on the board. One man who stood out of all and had a great day on the field was Kyle Mayers.

But what stood out and made headlines was the extraordinary performance from Kyle Mayers in the field. The LSG star took two stunning catches, the first one was to dismiss St Lucia Kings' captain Faf du Plessis. And the second one was to dismiss Tim Seifert.

Tim Seifert played a vibrant knock and scored 64 runs off 27 balls. He was dismissed by Odean Smith in the 11th over. Although, Smith was bowling the credit for the catch goes to Kyle Mayers.

Smith bowled, a hard-length delivery wide outside off, Seifert looked to loft it over long off for a maximum. He was not able to time the shot and unfortunately, Kyle Mayers at mid-off backtracked to take another world-class catch.

However, with significant contributions from Tim Seifert and Bhanuka Rajapaksa, they took the attack to the bowlers with a quickfire 103-run partnership for the 5th wicket. St Lucia after incredible efforts from all the departs won the match by 5 wickets and registered their first win for the season.
