England's premier all-rounder Sam Curran showcased his exemplary form with the ball as he registered a clinical hattrick in Oval Invincible's The Hundred 2024 encounter against London Spirit at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground in London. The left-arm pacer dismissed Liam Dawson, Olly Stone and Andre Russell to complete his hattrick at the home of cricket.

The incident occurred during the 18th set of London Spirit's innings when they had just lost skipper Dan Lawrence for a quick-fire 18-ball 27. 

Oval skipper Sam Billings' decision to bring Curran into the attack paid rich dividends for the defending champions, as the seamer dismissed Matthew Critchley for a duck. 

On his next delivery, Curran got rid of Olly Stone before bringing up his hattrick with the prized scalp of Andre Russell. 

From over the wicket, Curran bowled a full-length ball outside the off stump, as Russell went for a big hoik over the off side. 

However, the swashbuckling finisher only managed an outside edge, with Billings taking a simple catch behind the stumps. 

Earlier, Curran emerged as Oval's saviour with the bat, slamming a blistering 22-ball 51. Riding on his all-round exploits, the defending champions defeated the Spirit by 30 runs, securing their third victory of the season.
