Mumbai opener Prithvi Shaw unleashed a rapid 159-run thunder on Day 1 of their Ranji Trophy 2024 Elite Group B clash against Chhattisgarh in Raipur. Returning to competitive cricket after recovering from a knee injury, the dashing opening batsman pounded 18 boundaries and three sixes in his 185-ball knock. He formed a 244-run first-wicket partnership with fellow centurion Bhupen Lalwani.

While Shaw made a strong case for himself for a potential return to Team India's Test setup, he also pretty much confirmed his availability for the Delhi Capitals franchise in the upcoming IPL 2024 season, thus ending weeks of injury speculations.
