Pat Cummins, the man who replaced Aiden Markram as SRH's leader ahead of the IPL 2024, won the toss against KKR on Saturday evening in Match 3 of the ongoing edition at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

This will be Cummins’ first full-time captaincy outing in the IPL, and the opposition is none other than his former franchise, for whom he performed decently in the previous few years.


Among the surprises, there won’t be Travis Head – Cummins’ most-trusted warrior in Australia – in the playing XI, as the SRH skipper confirmed Marco Jansen in the lineup, along with Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen.

For KKR, Philip Salt, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, and Mitchell Starc are four overseas options, meaning Rahmanullah Gurbaz has not received a nod ahead of the English wicket-keeper batsman.
