The special bond between Rishabh Pant and Ricky Ponting, the captain and coach of Delhi Capitals, has been widely cherished. On Saturday, during Delhi Capitals’ IPL 2024 opener against Punjab Kings, it was visible yet again, leaving fans in awe.

Making a blockbuster return, Pant received a great reception from fans across the Mullanpur Stadium, He started brilliantly as well, scoring two fours in a brisk 13-ball 18 before losing his wicket to Harshal Patel. It was a poorly directed shot by Pant, which led him to an unfortunate out, and hence, the frustration that he showed while having a chat with Ponting was acceptable.

While having a conversation with Ponting, Pant almost tried to grab his knee while making an aggressive gesture with his face in frustration. Ponting knew from where it came, as he had always been like a gangster on the field during his days in Australia.
