Bollywood megastar and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) co-owner Shah Rukh Khan was recently captured on camera as he embarked on a journey to Kolkata.

His destination is none other than Eden Gardens, which is set to host the highly anticipated Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 Match 3, where Khan's beloved KKR will face off against the formidable Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The video of him entering the airport quickly went viral on social media platforms. The visuals showcased SRK in a light that fans across the globe have grown to cherish: as the ever-passionate owner of Kolkata Knight Riders.

Dressed in a beige sweatshirt and sporting his now-signature man bun, Khan's appearance was every bit the mix of casual elegance and approachability that fans have come to adore.

It is worth mentioning that KKR has emerged as one of the most formidable teams in the IPL's storied history. They boast an enviable legacy, having clinched the coveted title twice.

Their maiden victory in 2012, followed by a repeat win in 2014, both under the captaincy of Gautam Gambhir, marked KKR as a powerhouse in the tournament's early years. Yet, despite their early successes, the trophy has remained elusive since then.

KKR is set for a resurgence in IPL 2024. Gautam Gambhir's return, this time as a Mentor, alongside the comeback of captain Shreyas Iyer, who missed the previous season due to injury, has infused the team with a renewed sense of purpose and optimism.

KKR's strategic moves in the lead-up to the 2024 season were clearly evident during the auction, where they made headlines by securing Australian speedster Mitchell Starc for a record-breaking fee of 24.75 crore INR.

This acquisition, along with the additions of Sherfane Rutherford, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Gus Atkinson, Manish Pandey, Chetan Sakariya, Srikar Bharat, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Sakib Hussain, and Ramandeep Singh, has significantly strengthened the KKR squad as they eye their 3rd title.
