In a remarkable achievement, Bangladesh registered their first-ever Test series win against Pakistan, defeating the hosts by six wickets in the decider at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Chasing a modest 185-run total, Bangladesh went past the finish line in the 56th over of their second innings, with legendary all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan scoring the winning runs.

The incident occurred during the 56th over of Bangladesh's second innings when they were already on the verge of a historic victory. With the Tigers needing six runs to win, Pakistan skipper Shan Masood handed the ball to Abrar Ahmed, hoping for a next-to-impossible miracle.

After bowling two consecutive dot balls, Abrar conceded two runs off his third delivery. He followed it up with two more dots before Shakib hit him for a boundary to seal the game for his side.

From around the wicket, Abrar bowled a full-length delivery way outside the off stump, as Shakib capitalised on the room to hammer a glorious boundary through the off side. As the ball raced to the fence, the talismanic all-rounder celebrated the victory with his long-time partner-in-crime, Mushqfiur Rahim.

Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto, who couldn't contribute much with the bat, also expressed his emotions in the visitors' dressing room. He roared with joy before hugging his teammates and applauding their commendable efforts.

How did Pakistan vs Bangladesh 2nd Test pan out?

After the first day's play was abandoned, Pakistan posted a respectable total of 274 runs in their first innings of the Test. In response, Bangladesh were 26 for six at one stage, but made a remarkable comeback, thanks to Litton Das' clinical century and a valiant fifty from Mehidy Hasan Miraz.

Despite Khurram Shahzad's phenomenal bowling performance, the visitors powered themselves to 262 in the first innings. After that, Hasan Mahmud's exceptional five-wicket haul helped them restrict Pakistan to 172 in the second innings.

Chasing 185, Bangladesh had a few hiccups, but eventually crossed the finish line, thanks to a superb collective effort from their batters.
