Pakistan have started the proceeding on day 5 of the 2nd Test on a high as they have taken two wickets in the first session to leave Bangladesh a bit worried while chasing a small target. 

After stumps on day 4, Bangladesh were 42/0, while chasing 185 and required just 143 runs to win with ten wickets in hand. However, Mir Hamza drew the first blood for Pakistan and took the important wicket of Zakir Hasan. 

Meanwhile, Khurram Shahzad, who was Pakistan's pick of the bowlers in the first innings with a six-wicket haul, striked again and sent the second opener Shadman Islam back to the pavilion. 

On the 4th ball of the 18th over, Shahzad bowled a beautiful full-pitched delivery, but Islam played a loose shot and gave a simple catch to Shan Masood, who was all pumped up as it ignited the host's chances to bounce back in the match. Meanwhile, Babar and Shan also celebrated with a high-five. 

It is worth noting that Shahzad had got rid of Islam even in the first innings when he clean-bowled the opener leaving him speechless. 

Bangladesh Eyeing First-Ever Series Win Vs Pakistan

It is a crucial game for Bangladesh as they are on the cusp of scripting history. The Tigers registered their first-ever win against Pakistan in red-ball cricket in the first match and now stand a chance to win their first-ever Test series against the Shan Masood-led side. Meanwhile, Pakistan are trying their best to defend the total and level the series 1-1.

At the time of writing this article, Bangladesh are 80/2. In the first innings, Pakistan put 274 runs on the board. In reply, The Tigers posted 262 runs. The Shan Masood-led side failed to utilise the 12-run lead and tumbled for 172 runs in their second innings.
