Multan Sultans captain Mohammad Rizwan rediscovered his true potential against Quetta Gladiators earlier today when he hit a dominating six off Mohammad Wasim Jr. Rizwan absolutely slapped the slot delivery to add six valuable runs to his team's tally.

As PSL's ninth edition approached its business end, Multan Sultans took on the Quetta Gladiators with a goal to finish at the top of the points table. Despite losing his opening partner Yasir Khan in the powerplay, the Sultans' skipper Mohammad Rizwan didn't let the pressure get to him.

While facing Mohammad Wasim Jr., the batter slapped a maximum over the deep square leg boundary ropes to register an 88-meter mammoth six.

A slot delivery from Wasim was picked up early by Rizwan as he crouched his stance to drag a powerful shot over deep square leg. The maximum landed deep into the stands to award Multan Sultans crucial six runs amid a fall of a wicket.

That being said, Mohammad Rizwan, whose subpar strike rate in this PSL season has been a subject of criticism, overcame the rough patch to contribute significantly with a half-century.

The 88-meter six underscored Rizwan's capability to dominate the game and injected new life into his confidence. Rizwan has always been a match-winner for his side, but this PSL season has been different.

Regardless, for Rizwan to regain form just days ahead of PSL's knockout stages is a massive sign of relief for the Multan Sultans camp.

However, the job is far from done. Multan Sultans captain needs to bat deep to ensure his team posts a par score on this slow turner wicket of Karachi.

While Mohammad Rizwan and co have qualified for the playoffs, a late couple of losses have threatened their spot at the top of the points table. A win here is a must to ensure a berth in Qualifier 1.
