One of England's most potent pacers, Jofra Archer has been plagued with injuries, that has kept the Barbados-born out of the action for quite a while now, with sporadic returns in domestic, and international cricket.

Archer, who is currently looking forward to getting fit in time for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024, has reached the Indian city of Bangalore, and will not feature in the Indian Premier League (IPL) but will be seen attending a pre-session camp for county side Sussex.

Archer, who last featured in IPL for former franchise Mumbai Indians last year, got sidelined after a relapse of his elbow injury, which once again put the pacer's career on the back-burner.

Bangalore has lately been a hotspot for England county clubs, who have preferred the warm climate in preparation for their training sessions and practice games, which will mimic conditions back home during Championship Season 2024.

The 28-year-old is being closely monitored by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) medical panel, who are keeping no stone unturned for the return of the fast bowler, who made his semi comeback this year in second-division cricket in County Championship.

Apart from Sussex, even Lancashire men's and women's are visiting the South Indian city as pre-season rehearsal, who started their training at the famous KCA Alur facility on Tuesday, while the former county will begin their nets today.

Both teams will take part in practice matches against Karnataka select teams during their 10-day stay.
