[Watch] Marco Jansen Cleans Up Shubman Gill As India Falter In Boxing Day Test

The Indian team is under testing situations in the first match. After putting 245 on the board in the first innings, the Proteas managed to gain a lead of 163 runs, as Dean Elgar smashed 185. India lost a couple of wickets early, as Kagiso Rabada and Burger dismissed Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal respectively.

Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli took a different approach and started attacking Gerald Coetzee and Marco Jansen, who were throwing a lot of 'hit me' deliveries. Gill looked in great touch as he smashed a couple of beautiful cover drives in the over of Marco Jansen, but the bowler had the last laugh as Marco dismissed Gill on the last delivery of the same over.

Marco Jansen, who was exceptional with the bat, has already produced some unplayable deliveries creating a couple of chances, but Keegan Petersen could not hold onto that catch and Shreyas Iyer got all the luck.

Gill has been exceptional for the Indian team during the last year but hasn't been able to make opportunities count outside India. Even in the first innings, he got out on just two runs and now, he threw his wicket owing to an aggressive approach, scoring 26.

Here's the video of Shubman Gill's wicket:

Gill was looking to make the most out of Jansen's over, but he was surprised by the yorker, missed the length and was bowled. He would not be happy about playing that shot considering he was going great and saw a few overs as well. He could have made this innings a huge one, but he couldn't resist the full delivery and went on to play the shot.
