Shubman Gill - India 🇮🇳

Having featured in 29 ODIs this year, Shubman Gill amassed over 1580 runs in the ODI format and also jumped in the ICC rankings. The right-hander has enjoyed his purple patch during the year 2023 and also entered the elite club of scoring a double century in the ODI cricket. He is our one of the openers in the ODI XI of the year. 

Rohit Sharma (c) - India 🇮🇳

The year 2023 may have not been an year filled with trophies for the Indian captain, Rohit Sharma, but he was indeed the standout captain. He led the team to 10 wins in the World Cup and even won the Asia Cup. Having played 27 games, he aggregated over 1250 runs with a blistering strike rate of nearly 120. He is the second opener and the captain of our team.

Virat Kohli - India 🇮🇳

Whether it's the Indian team or the combined one, Virat Kohli has owned the number three spot. The right-hander smashed 1377 runs in the 50-over format this year, including the record of 765 runs in the World Cup with an astonishing average of over 95. Virat is OneCricket's number three batter. 

Mitchell Marsh - Australia 🇦🇺

The Aussie all-rounder, Mitchell Marsh has been consistent with his performances for the Australian team, especially in the 50-over format in the year 2023. With over 850 runs in the year, he was one of the key players in Australia's run to their sixth World Cup title. With his inclusion, the team is more balanced than before. 

Daryl Mitchell - New Zealand 🇳🇿

The Kiwi all-rounder, Daryl Mitchell has been in top form lately, irrespective of the format. With over 1200 runs in just 26 ODIs in the year 2023, Mitchell has sealed a place for himself at number four. His World Cup was full of runs, as he went on to score 552 runs, including a couple of hundreds.

For the role of finishing, we have a member from the World Cup-winning team, Glenn Maxwell. The way he turned the game for the Australian team in the World Cup against Afghanistan, was something only he is capable of doing. Having smashed 200 in an ODI innings this year, he cannot be left behind from the ODI team of the year. 

Kuldeep Yadav - India 🇮🇳

Kuldeep Yadav was arguably the best sinner in the world during the year 2023, with 49 wickets in just 29 games. He is not only a wicket-taking option but possesses the ability to bowl economically as well. With his skill set, he makes it to the ODI team of the year, leading the spin attack. 

Mohammad Shami - India 🇮🇳

Whenever there's a talk about seam positioning, Mohammad Shami comes into everyone's mind. With an amazing World Cup and year in the 50-over format, Shami scalped 43 wickets in just 19 innings and also became the leading wicket-taker of the World Cup. He can bowl in the powerplay and even in the middle overs, which makes him more dangerous.

Shaheen Afridi - Pakistan 🇵🇰

The left-arm seamer from Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi did not have a good time during the World Cup, but he was amazing in the 50-over format with 42 wickets in just 22 innings. He led Pakistan's bowling attack from the front and was the key player for them throughout the year 2023. 

Dilshan Madushanka - Sri Lanka 🇱🇰

The emerging star from Sri Lanka, Dilshan Madushanka stunned everyone with his exceptional performance in his debut World Cup. Having made his international debut this year only, in just 15 innings Dilshan scalped 31 wickets and was also one of the leading wicket-takers of the World Cup 2023.
