'From Genius To Wheels Off In 10 Mins'- ENG Legend Trolls 'Unpredictable' Pakistan

Michael Vaughan made a sarcastic comment on Pakistan's mercurial nature as a cricket side seen in abundance by Day 3 of the Boxing Day Test at MCG against Australia

As the tourists endured another topsy-turvy ride, the former England captain turned commentator expressed his delight at watching Pakistan do their business over the years.

Known for being a temperamental outfit, capable of drowning oppositions unexpectedly while also vulnerable to slipping below the mark when least anticipated, Pakistan conceded ground on two promising spots within a few sessions in the Boxing Day Test.

The visitors, who reduced Australia to 318 all out after the hosts had attained dominance at 214/3, managed to reach 124/1 in the first innings on Day 2 but then suffered a collapse that plagued their wings and gave Australia a prizeless 54-run lead.

Pakistan then came back again in the contest with a spirited new-ball burst from both ends by Shaheen Afridi and Mir Hamza to ruffle the Aussie feathers at 16 for 4.

However, it proved to be another false dawn as the tourists once again failed to grab a major opportunity and allowed the great Steve Smith and allrounder Mitchell Marsh to resurrect the innings with a potentially match-winning partnership.

Watching the proceedings closely from the commentary box for Australian broadcaster Fox Sports, Vaughan came up with a humorous comment to make on Pakistan's amusing back-and-forth ride and said the Asian giants tend to swim from genius to wheels off in minutes.

Vaughan tweeted his opinion in a dramatic little phase of the game, which summed up Pakistan, as they managed to deliver a peach past in-form Travis Head's downswing to reduce the Aussies to 4 down before the lead edged past 60 but soon dropped an absolute sitter in the slips off the dangerous Marsh's bat.
