The ninth match of the Maharaja T20 2024 between Bengaluru Blasters and Hubli Tigers was marked by a heart-stopping moment. Manish Pandey's excellent catch to dismiss the Impact Player, Niranjan Naik for just eight runs at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, was a sight to behold.


In the 16th over, Manvanth Kumar bowled a short-length delivery around the middle stump line. Naik entered the line and attempted to pull it away over deep mid-wicket. 

Unfortunately, Naik got a top edge, and the fielder, Manish Pandey, stationed comfortably at the point, ran in towards the keeper and took a good catch. He jumped and roared aggressively as he made an easy catch to dismiss Naik, and the Bengaluru Blasters lost their 8th wicket.

But before this was confirmed, the TV Umpire checked the bowler's front foot, and as the replays showed, he was indeed out.

Eventually, the Bengaluru Blasters managed to put up a total of 142 against the opposition. At the time of writing, Hubli Tigers are at 40/1, with Mohammed Taha dismissed for just 10 runs off 7 balls. This leaves the Tigers with a challenging task ahead, needing 103 runs from 14 overs to win the match.
