Bangladesh's opening batter Litton Das was visibly frustrated during his clutch innings against Afghanistan at the 2024 T20 World Cup at St Vincent.

Chasing 116 for a win and up against multiple permutations and combinations, the dashing wicketkeeper-batter kept Bangladesh’s run-chase alive for a major part of the innings amidst trembling wickets at the other end.

Apart from dealing with a set of rampaging Afghanistan bowlers, Litton Das apparently was also left to deal a hilarious ‘delayed strategy’ from Gulbadin Naib at the edge of a rain interruption.

Litton Das frustrated over Gulbadin Naib’s ‘air’ injury

Afghanistan cricketer Gulbadin Naib complained of a hamstring injury while standing at slips, mere moments after receiving a signal from head coach Jonathan Trott from the dressing room.

The former English cricketer, who gestured Afghanistan players to slow down the proceedings in order to keep Bangladesh down at the DLS score, prompted Naib to waste a few precious minutes amidst slight drizzle at St Vincent.

As one can expect, the move left well-set Bangladesh opening batter Litton Das visibly frustrated. The wicketkeeper-batsman even imitated Naib’s actions after the latter walked off and covers enveloped the ground.

The match marks a must-win one for both sides in terms of a potential place in the semifinals of the 2024 T20 World Cup. Moreover, a win for Bangladesh, with respect to margin, even marks of a significant importance for the Australian cricket team.
