Team India outclassed Australia by 24 runs in their final Super Eight match of the ongoing 2024 T20 World Cup to qualify for the semifinals. Captain Rohit Sharma played starring role with the bat, punching out 92 runs and launching eight sixes in the process during his 41-ball whirlwind knock.

Much to the amusement of the fans amidst high-octane action between the two nations at St Lucia, a hilarious incident broke out when captain Rohit and fellow senior pro Virat Kohli hysterically instructed fielder Shivam Dube to change his position from deep point. As it happened, both Indian cricketers did so in a perfectly synchronized manner, thus indicating their identical thinking and leadership attributes for the ’Men in Blue’.

During the third over of the Australian chase, Indian captain Rohit Sharma and fellow veteran Virat Kohli both instructed fielder Shivam Dube to come up from his fielding position at deep point. Amusingly enough, both Sharma and Kohli did so by waving their hands in a perfectly synchronized manner while standing next to each other.

As far as cricket is concerned, Team India defeated Australia by 24 runs to extend their unbeaten run in the ongoing 2024 T20 World Cup. After amassing 205-5 upfront courtesy of a splendid 41-ball 92 from Rohit Sharma, Indian spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel as well as new-ball seamer Arshdeep Singh collectively restricted a strong Australian batting line-up to just 181-7.

The outcome ensured a spot in the semifinals for the Indian team, and tendered Australia to rely on Afghanistan’s impending result against Bangladesh in the final Super Eight match of the tournament.
