To add a much-needed finishing touch, LSG all-rounder Krunal Pandya played a blistering knock of 43 runs off 22 deliveries to guide his team to a formidable total of 199 runs against PBKS in the IPL 2024 fixture. Krunal played his shots effortlessly to ensure LSG finished with a par total.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) faced Punjab Kings (PBKS) earlier today at Ekana Stadium for an IPL 2024 season fixture. 

LSG fielded with new captain Nicholas Pooran as KL Rahul dropped down to the role of an impact player. Regardless, KL departed without causing any impact on an abysmal score of 15 runs.

Fortunately, Quinton de Kock and skipper Pooran added 40+ runs as LSG managed to recover from the early setbacks.

That being said, the responsibility to guide LSG to a par total fell on finisher Krunal Pandya’s shoulders as Marcus Stoinis and Padikkal departed early.

Pandya went bang bang from ball one to put the PBKS bowling lineup under pressure. As LSG’s innings reached their conclusion, Pandya slammed a lofted shot over long-off boundary ropes to secure an impressive maximum. 

To back it up, Krunal Pandya crunched Sam Curran’s slower short ball toward third man to add four more runs to his team’s final tally.

Krunal Pandya anticipated Curran taking the pace off the ball and got into the position to execute a fine uppercut.

That being said, Krunal’s blistering cameo of 22 balls and 43 runs towards the end helped LSG post a par total of 199 runs on board.

Moreover, 199 happens to be the highest score at Ekana Stadium, which puts PBKS under tremendous pressure ahead of steep chase.
