Arshdeep Singh is a key player for Punjab Kings with his ability to deliver both with the new ball and at the death. He did well in the first game of IPL 2024 against DC but was bit expensive against RCB and so PBKS needed him to come back strongly against LSG. He has done exactly that and has picked two big wicket of KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock to put LSG on the backfoot.

He got the wicket of KL Rahul in the fourth over of the innings and came back strongly again in the 14th over to get rid of the dangerous Quinton de Kock. 

The southpaw scored 54 off 38 balls and just when he was looking to take off, Arshdeep Singh got the better of him. The left-arm seamer banged in short, around off. Quinton de Kock went for the pull shot but got a big top edge that went high in the air to the leg side.

Jitesh Sharma behind the stumps had ample time to get under the ball and he did that perfectly to take it safely, handing a big blow to LSG.

Nicholas Pooran, the LSG skipper for this game also scored a quickfire 41 but he soon departed in the 16th over as  PBKS kept making comeback with wickets to keep the scoring rate under check.
