Arshdeep dismissed KL Rahul [X.com]

Experienced Indian batter KL Rahul had a disappointing outing in Lucknow Super Giants' ongoing IPL 2024 encounter against Punjab Kings, managing only 15 runs before being dismissed by Arshdeep Singh. 

The incident occurred during the fourth over of LSG's innings when they had already got off to a positive start, courtesy of the fireworks from Rahul and Quinton de Kock. 

PBKS skipper Shikhar Dhawan's decision to continue Arshdeep Singh from one end paid off, with the left-arm speedster removing Rahul on the fifth ball of his over. 

Arshdeep began the over on a poor note, as Rahul hammered him for a glorious six straight down the ground before hitting another boundary two balls later. The batter took a couple on the next ball before Arshdeep bounced back to get rid of him. 

It was a back of the length delivery outside off stump, as Rahul tried to guide it through the off side field. However, he couldn't get past Jonny Bairstow, who dived towards his left, holding on to a sharp low catch. 

After Rahul got out, LSG lost another dependable batter, Devdutt Padikkal, who hit it straight to Shikhar Dhawan, stationed at mid off. 

As of writing, the hosts were in a spot of bother, placed at 54 for two in six overs, with De Kock and Marcus Stoinis unbeaten in the middle.
