Nicholas Pooran looked venomous on Saturday (March 30) while representing Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 11 of the IPL 2024 against Punjab Kings at Ekana Cricket Stadium. However, he lost his wicket at the very wrong phase for the Super Giants, and no wonder he was fuming after playing a needless shot against Kagiso Rabada.

While captaining LSG, Pooran smashed three sixes and as many fours after opting to bat first. Then, right after the strategic timeout, he lost his wicket, with Rabada taking the big fish for a 21-ball 42.

It was a normal length delivery by Rabada towards way past the off stump. Pooran tried to play a lofted drive, only to drag it onto the stumps.

Considering the situation of the contest, it was a massive wicket for Punjab, against whom LSG maintained an aggressive net run rate from the get-go.

At the time of writing, Lucknow are in an excellent position, scoring 189/6 after 18.4 overs, with Krunal Pandya going strong, batting on 35* off 16 balls. Ayush Badoni is the latest man to be dismissed, on 8 off 10 balls.
